NTUH Launches One-Stop Hybrid Operating Room Powered by Twin Beans Imaging Solutions
National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) has launched a new one-stop hybrid operating room that integrates Siemens Healthineers’ first 3T MRI system in Asia with intraoperative robotic technologies, enabling advanced imaging diagnostics and precise minimally invasive treatment within a single surgical environment.
Twin Beans provides the comprehensive smart operating room imaging solution for this hybrid OR. Multi-source intraoperative images are synchronized and recorded through a surgical video integration system, while all surgical imaging data are centrally managed via a unified medical imaging management platform. This intelligent architecture improves workflow efficiency, standardizes image orchestration, and supports data-driven operating room management.
The operating room is also equipped with a remote surgical collaboration platform, enabling real-time guidance and consultation. Surgeons can activate customized imaging routing modes with one touch, ensuring optimal visualization tailored to each procedure.
Designed around NTUH’s patient-centered philosophy, the one-stop hybrid OR brings high-level imaging directly to the surgical suite, eliminating the need for patients to move between departments and supporting safer, more efficient care.
Through the collaboration between NTUH, Siemens Healthineers, and Twin Beans, this initiative enhances patient care quality and demonstrates Taiwan’s growing leadership in advanced surgical imaging and smart operating room innovation.
